New York(SMI-WIRE,06.15.18)-The Fashion Institute of Technology, known as one of the renowned fashion school in the world, celebrated its annual year-end gala this evening (June 14), honoring Ivan Bart(President of IMG Models & Fashion), Jane Hertzmark Hudis (Group President, Estee Lauder Co.) and J. Michael Stanley(Managing Director, Rosenthal & Rosenthal), at Cipriani's-42nd Street in the heart of New York City.

This annual gala benefit The FIT Foundation, which helps FIT cultivate the next generation of creative leaders through enhancing programs, developing new initiatives, and providing scholarship funds to the college's most promising students.

 

The theme of this year's black -tie event is #FashionForward, celebrating FIT's impact on the future of fashion through new initiatives in virtual reality and augmented reality, its groundbreaking use of data in influencing design and retail, development …  Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It’s easy on the eyes and a great go to fon and the college's recent breakingthroughs in sustainable fashion and textile development that have been lauded worldwide.

The gala was hosted by American Actress Stephanie March and Carolyn Murphy (American Actress),

Leonard A. Lauder,(Chairman emiritus of Estee Lauder Companies); Rebecca Minkoff & Uri Minkoff (Designer , Co-Founders  & CEO of Rebecca Minkoff Fashion Brand) were the presenters at the gala.

2018 FIT'S Honorees:

Ivan Bart, president at IMG Models and Fashion Propertie wass honored and recipient of the Social

Impact Award for his creativity and his role in evolving the global definition of beauty.

Jane Hudis, group president at the Estee Lauder and Co was honored and recipient of the Vanguard Award for her unparalleled leadership , keen eye for innovation, and longstanding relationship with FIT.

J. Michael Stanley, managing director at Rosenthal & Rosenthal was honored and recipient of the

Breakthrough award for his oustanding achievements in innovative and game-changing leadership in the retail and apparel industries and continue support of FIT.
