NEW YORK ,NY(SMI- NEWS-AWARDS,09.28-10.01.21)-The National Academy of Television  of Arts and science celebrated its 42nd News and Documentary Emmy Awards through a 2-days virtual ceremonies, honoring excellence in news journalism and documentary filmmakers for their news coverage and storytelling during the calendar of the year 2020.

 

The 42nd  Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards honors this year the programming contents from more than 2200 submissions that originally premiered in calendar-year 2020, judged by a pool of 950 peer professionals from across the television and streaming/digital media News & Documentary industry. 

It also recognizes excellence in television with the coveted Emmy® Awards for News & Documentary, Sports, and Daytime television programming, as well as achievements in television Technology & Engineering.
