BEIJING, CHINA(SMI-ASIA-SPORTS, 02.04-02.20.22)-The " XXIV Olympic Winter Games" also known as the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics concluded its 24th edition today February 20, with a sensational closing ceremony- where close to 3000 athletes representing 91 countries competed in 109 events of 15 disciplines in 7 sports during 16-days at Beijing National Stadium.


Norway finished first in the medal count with 37-medals (16 Gold, 8-Silver & 13-Bronze), follow by Germany with 27 medals (12 Gold, 10-Silver & 5 Bronze), China with 32-medals ( 6-Gold, 12-Silver & 14-Bronze) and United States taking fourth place with 25 medals (8 Gold, 10 Silver & 7 Bronze).

The Winter Olympics is an international competition for sports played in ice and snow that is held every four year with countries competing in 7 sports. The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics was the 24th edition hosting 3000 athletes of 91 countries that competed in 15 disciplines: Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Bobsleigh, Cross-country skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Ice Hockey, Luge, Nordic combined, Short track speed skating, Skeleton, Ski Jumping, Snowboarding & Speed Skading.
