World-Class Short Films Sparkle at the 2022-21th Tribeca Film Festival in the New York City….!1
NEW YORK,NY(SMI-ENTERTAINMENT,06.08.-06.19.22)-The 2022-Tribeca Film Festival concluded its 21st-edition with another sensational and successful season featuring world-class films from all over the world with outdoor & indoor audience and home streaming screenings during 11-days slate for all audiences in New York City.
Starlight illustrated had the opportunity to watch some featured films including
shorts films through the streaming screening portal and we found the following shorts below interesting, peculiar and entertaining.
Out of Order: Is a short-narrative film directed by New York's native
Nicolas Heller also known as " New York Nico ", and executive produced by Theodore Liouliakis that made its world premiere debut at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
The 19-minute short film is about a 30-year old New Yorker who in route to a hot-date suddenly find himself with a bowel's problem and goes crazy to find a bathroom in the street of New York City.
A great short on the harsh reality of finding a public bathroom in NYC, worsened by Covid. A man has a bit of a fanciful time traveling to a date, has an "accident" on the way, goes viral, gets dressed in a rather flamboyant 1970's style by a relative, only to meet up with his date. Any New Yorker will find this relatable if not a bit far fetched, and entertaining movie for sure.
Inheritance:Is a drama-short film directed by Hawaiian's native filmmaker Erin Lau and executive produced by Paula Weinstein and Nina Chaudry.
The short is about a wildlife/landscape photographer who began to re-evaluate his passion and making a living as a photographer once his friend decided to change a profession in search of better life for his family. Kelsey Akioka played by Aoi Takeya (Japanese-American actor) goes into a roller-coaster crisis, doubting his own decisions and fighting his owns demons to find stability for him and his family.
Set in a non-paradisical Hawaii, an adult nature photographer loves what he does, struggles to make ends meet. He deals with 2 other generations in his family, all the promise of a young boy and the grizzied wisdom of his father. As a cousin is headed to the mainland, Vegas, baby to cast his lot. The main character is feeling stuck. He gets a tale of his paternal grandfather, and that may shed light on his predicament. Not a bad movie, the backdrop of the tropics and volcanoes adds to the movie.
