Urbanworld Film Festival Closed-out

Its 27th Edition in Style with Sensational Featured Films and Unprecedented Stories

NEW YORK, NY (SMI-GLOBAL-ENTERTAINMENT NOV 01-05, 2023)-The Urbanworld Film Festival closed-out its 27th edition with a sensational line-up of featured films and its Innovation Summit that included the premiere and directorial film debut of Cord Jefferson with " American Fiction ", special discussion with Marvel's youngest film director " Nia DaCosta" and " world premiere of Maxine's Baby: The Tyler Perry Story by Gelila Bekele and Armani Ortiz in NYC. 

 

 " Maxine's Baby: The Tyler Perry story is a documentary written by Gelila Bekele and Co-directed with Armani Ortiz that took about a decade to finish it that premiere on Prime Video.

 

 The doc narrates the life of Tyler Perry growing up poor and rising to the top after struggling and suffering mental and physical abuse by his father during his childhood, being homeless and how he overcomes all obstacles to become a successful businessman and a Titan in the film and entertainment industry.

Tyles Perry has becomes a household name in the film industry after being credited with over 2-dozens films, 20+ plays, 25+ Tv series and founding his own Studio , The Tyler Perry Studios located in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Creative team and crew include: Asante White, Gelila Bekele, Jasmine K. White, Erik Sasso and Armani Ortiz.
