BRONX, NY (SMI-GLOBAL-SPORTS-JULY 28-AUGUST 06, 2024)- AC Milan (Calcio Italiano Serie A) defeated Manchester City FC (English Premier league) 3-2, in a friendly match as part of the FC Series/DirecTv soccer champions tour 2024 at Legendary Yankees Stadium.

With the win, AC Milan improves to 1-1-2, overall record against Manchester City during a sold-out match of 29,000+ fans and striker Lorenzo Colombo scoring 2-goals in the first half to overcome the score and secure the win for the Italians.

FC Series in conjunction with DirectTv soccer champions tour organize an annual global soccer tournaments in the US and international by bringing together the global most iconic soccer clubs for annual fixture during the summer series tour across major cities in the United States.

This year clubs fixture for the 2024 FC Series and DirecTV soccer champions tour includes five teams, two from the English Premiere league, two from the Spaniard "La Liga " and one from Calcio Italiano Serie A, : Manchester City, AC Milan, Barcelona FC, Real Madrid & Chelsea FC.

After numerous counter-attacks in the first 15', without any major danger by AC Milan, forward Erling Haaland (Norway) opened the score for Manchester City FC at 19', when midfielder Oscar Bobb on a breakaway inside the penalty box through the right-side corner crossed it to Haaland who score with a left-footed to the far left-goalpost to put the Citizens in front 1-0, over AC Milan.

Seven minute later, in a similar counter-attack through the right-side field, midfielder Bobb with the ball inside the 18' gave it to Haaland who shot with a right-footed over the crossbar barely missing his second goal of the game at 27' mark of the first half.

A.C. Milan answered back with two goals within a span of 4' minute to go in front 2-1, when the forward Samuel Chukwueze on a counter-attack through the right-side field centered a pass inside the 18', finding striker Lorenzo Colombo
who score the equalizer with a header at 30' mark, and 4' minute later in a similar play through the right-side field corner, Chukwueze once again centered a pass inside the 6-yard box to Colombo who score with left-footed that ended in back of the net for 2-1, AC Milan over Manchester City at the half.

In the second half, Manchester City pressure from the start and found the equalizer through James McAtee at 55' mark. The play was originated with counter-attack through the left-side field by midfielder Micah Hamilton who centered a perfect pass inside the penalty box to James McAtee who score with header to even the game 2-2.

With the game tie 2-2, and 12' minute remaining in the game, AC Milan forward Marco Nasti scored the third goal for the Italians when striker Alexis Saelemaekers (Belgium) with a counter-attack through the right side field centered a rolling pass inside the 18' to forward Marco Nasti who score with a right-footed to the opposite goal post that ended in back of the to score the winning goal and secure the 3-2, victory for A.C. Milan over Manchester City.
