NEW YORK, NY(SMI-GLOBAL-ENTERTAINMENT JUNE 04-15, 2025)- US Actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler known for the critical-acclaim HBO's crime series " The Sopranos" during the early 2000's played panel moderator of the newest Apple Original Podcast; Easy Money:The Charles Ponzi Story last Friday on June 13, at 2025 Tribeca Festival.

Charles Ponzi was an Italian immigrant known as one of the most notorious con-artist during the 1920's, who scammed people out of their money equivalent to half of Billion with the promise of 50% profit return in 45-Days, and 100% in 90-days by buying postal reply coupons in foreign countries and redeeming them in the US.

The scam eventually fell apart and his name became a synonym associated with such crime ever since as " The Ponzi Scheme" in America.

This eight-episode nonfiction docudrama is an Apple Original Podcast hosted by journalist Maya Lau and features award-winning comedian, actor, and podcast host Sebastian Maniscalco as the voice of Ponzi. The series navigates the storytelling with investigative journalism to explore Ponzi’s meteoric rise, spectacular downfall, and the systems that allowed his fraud to flourish.

Ponzi’s story is not just a historical case—it’s a modern parable. His manipulation of the media, focus on image over substance, and swift rise through public adoration feel strikingly familiar in today’s era of influencer culture, viral scams, and financial misinformation.

The Apple Podcast original will premiere on Monday, June 16, 2025.
