Land Rover Wins the 2018 NYC Victory Cup Polo Tournament at Governors Island, NYC…..!

NEW YORK,(SMIWIRE,07.04.18)-The Victory Cup celebrated its annual polo tournament today, where aficionados from the polo sport and attendees looking to explore new adventures in the Big Apple, witnessed the Land Rover team win the 2018 Trophy, during a sold-out  event and sunny saturday's  afternoon at the Governors Island in Manhattan, NYC.


The Victory Cup, which is sponsored by Land Rover, Vineyard Vines & the Wagner Hotel, has grown to be one of the biggest equestrian events in the US by hosting numerous events annually in other state.


Polo is a team sport played on horseback. The objective is to score goals against an opposing team. Players score by driving a small hard white ball into the opposing team's goal using a long-handled wooden mallet. The modern sport of polo is played on a grass field of 300 by 160 yards (270 by 150 m). Each polo team consists of four riders and their polo ponies.

The NYC Victory Cup is the only annual Polo event that takes place in Manhattan at the Governors Island and known for being one of best party during the summer. A full day of schedule events from 10-6pm beside the Polo Matches, that kept the crowd engaged and entertained with friends and families with great food, drinks and a dancing party with a live DJ. 

During an intermission between matches, the moderator, announcer and Dr. Kelly Powers, invited the crowd for a best dressed fashion competition, where winners were selected from individual women and couples for being the best dressed in the NYC Victory Cup Polo Tournament.


A fantastic party, where attendes enjoyed of variety of food menu from selected numbers of renowned restaurant and Craft Brewers, Spirit and wine from tasting partners or sponsors that contribute to make this day memorable. 


An equetrain event that you don't see that often in major city like New York City, with beautiful horses, professional Polo players and beautiful people, who gathered to have fun and enjoy something different from other events.
