Macy's Kick-Off the 2023 Holiday Season with the Balloons Inflation event for its 97th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in the Big Apple....!

NEW YORK, NY(SMI-GLOBAL-ENTERTAINMENT-NOV. 22-24, 2023)-The world-renowned department store Macys in conjunction with the City of New York kick-off the 2023 Holiday season Today Nov. 22, with the balloons inflation for its iconic 97th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to take place tomorrow Nov. 23, at 08:30 in the heart of new York City.

 

The inflation of the balloons is a sneak-peak and preparation event of the new added balloons and the standard ones for a total of 25-Balloons that will march down alongside the 31-Floats, 18-Celebrities and rising music stars, 6-Balloonicles, 11 Marching bands, 29 Clown crews and 7 performers groups during the annual 97th Macys's Thanksgiving Day parade in celebration of this famous American national holiday that attracts millions of people in the street of New York City and through a global live broadcast by NBC.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams, Macy's CEO Jeffrey Gennette and  NYC Police Commissioner Edward A. Caban were in attendance and spoke at the event press conference and these are their comments prior to the 2023-97th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to take place Tomorrow in Manhattan, NYC:

Jeffrey Gennette (Macy's CEO): It's great to be here with Major Eric Adams and Police Commissioner Edward Caban. Welcome to the 97th annual Thanksgiving day parade inflation. We are here to celebrate on behalf all the players that made this happen .We have 100,000 Macy's colleagues that bring this all together.This is a beloved it holiday tradition that kick-off the Holiday season in general. The Macys' studios works from the moment we finish Thanksgiving till today.They spend one year creating this amazing parade. In a few hours, it will be the official kick-off to the Holiday season and it would not be possible without the very close partnership at everybody in New York City. And our partnership is based on sure values. The importance of community for all New Yorkers and also the guests that come from all over the world and country to visit us during this time.

Eric Adams:(NYC Major ): This is a Super-Bowl. They start the day after Thanksgiving to look at it how important it's to put a this global display a family values and family interactions.The Macys's Thanksgiving Day parade marks the launch of our holiday season. Thousand of families travel here. And for those outside the city, New York is only asking to do one thing that's  to spend a lot money and shop and enjoy yourself. They say Shop till you drop. We are going to be safe because we have one of the top commissioner in the globa and he is her Edward A. Caban. He is going to make sure that men and women of the police department are in the frontline to make sure your family enjoy the safety.

CAban(NYC Police Commissioner): We are thrill to be here to welcome the millions of people who will visit New York City during holiday season.And all begins with the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade . This is one of the most Iconic events that happens in our city.And we are proud to partner with the amazing people at Macy's who make this event a tremendous success each and every year. This year we specially want to thanks the Chairman & CEO Jeff Gennette who is stepping away after 40-year career with the company and we wish him all the best on his well deserved retirement, congratulations Jeff and we'll really miss working with you.  There will be tight security during the parade and most of all bring your whole family and come ready to have a great time and enjoy this wonderful event because for sure I will be here with my family.   

 

 

Thanksgiving is an  American tradition national holiday that takes place on the fourth Thursday in November every year, a celebration on being thankful and grateful for the blessing of the year including the harvest. This holiday is known for being a family celebration in private and it's also celebrated in public with large crowd attending the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in the Big Apple.
