FIFA WORLD-CUP QATAR 2022 (SMI-SPORTS-NOV. 20- DEC. 18, 2022)-The round of 16, of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, concluded today Tuesday Dec 06, with Morocco
stunning Spain 0-0(3-0) in penalty shootout, advancing to the quarterfinal round for the first time in their world cup history while Portugal routed Switzerland 6-1, with Goncalo Ramos scoring a hat-trick as both teams advance to face each other in the next round on Saturday Dec. 10, at Al Thumama Stadium in Qatar.
With these final results, the bracket of the quarterfinal rounds of the World Cup Qatar 2022, has been set with 8-teams advancing; Argentina, the Netherlands, Croatia, Brazil, England, France, Morocco, & Portugal.

The Moroccan national soccer team who are participating on its six world cup tournament, reaches the quarterfinal rounds after finishing on top of Group F, with 2 victories against Belgium and Canada, a draw vs Croatia while knockout the world#7 Spain (3-0) in penalty shootout to face Portugal in the next round.
Spain beat Morocco in most of the stats of the game but both teams could not find the back of the net due to a blockage defensive line that unable the strikers to penetrate during the first half.In the second half, the game picked-up where they left-off with same scenario both teams played defensibly ending the 90' minute game scoreless.
In the 30' minute overtime period, both teams countered-attack numerous time in search of the winning goal but failed to score, sending the game to be decided on penalty shootout.Morocco defeated Spain 3-0, in penalty kicks with Morocco's goalkeeper stopping three penalty shots while scoring three through; Achraf Hakimi, Hakim Ziyech & Abdelhamid Sabiri and Sergio Busquets , Carlos Soler & Pablo Serabia missed their shots in the loss for Spain.
