The NYRedBulls opened the score through New York's native " Kyle Duncan"- during a breakway through the far leftside field, Daniel Royer (Austria, Midfielder) passed the ball to the middle finding Florian Valot (France, Midfielder) outside the 18 and who immediately gave it to Kyle Duncan- who on a run took the ball inside the penalty box and lifted a right-footed over Concinnati's goalkeeper Bobby Edwards scoring his first goal of the season and putting the Redbulls 1-0 in front over Cincinnati at 15:57 minutes.
New York kept the pressure on and ten minutes later the second goal arrived through Redbulls' midfielder Kaku(Argentina) at the 26:50. The goal was originated when Cincinnati's goal keeper Bobby Edwards made a huge mistake in clearing the ball out to the midfield and was intercepted 20 yards outside the penalty box by Kyle Duncan who immediately gave it midfielder Florian Valot (France) through the far-rightside field and passed to the middle inside the 18' finding "Kaku"(Argentina) who shot a low left-footed to make it NYRedBulls 2-0 at the half.
Cincinnati revived in the second half and cut the deficit to one goal in the first minute of the second half through Allan Cruz, when during a breakway through the leftside field Brandon Vazquez- who surprisingly caught New York's defensive line off-guard, passed the ball to Allan Cruz who was approaching on a run and scored to make it 2-1.
With the score 2-1 and the visitors looking to even the score, the RedBulls re-organized its defensive line and with continuous offensive counter-attacks scored its third and final goal to make it New York 3-1 at 69' minute through Daniel Royer (Austria)-who received a pass from Kyle Duncan and ran with the ball inside the 18', scoring and sealing the victory for the Redbulls.
Cincinnati scored its second goal through Jueguen Locadia
with the clock winding down at 83' minutes for the final score of New York Redbulls 3-2 over Cincinnati.
Great victory for New York overall-but coach Armas needs to make some adjustments on the defensive line to avoid the same mistakes that resulted in two goals in this game and secure the lead for future games.
