New York RedBulls Defeats Orlando City SC 2-1, & Snapped Its Two-Game Losing Streak At Home….!
NEW JERSEY(SMI-SPORTS,05.29.21)-Rising stars Caden Clark and Cristian Casseres scored one goal apiece as New York RedBulls defeats Orlando City SC 2-1, snapping its two-game losing streak-during a rainy Saturday afternoon game at the Redbulls Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.
With the victory today, New York improved to (3-0-4 ) accumulating 9 points and positioning themselves in the 8th place of the MLS East standings.In the other hand, Orlando City came to New York undefeated and suffered its first loss for (3-3-1) overal record of the young 2021 MLS season.
A well executed game-plan by the Redbulls on the pitch - neutralizing the visitors offensive attack and taking advantage of the few errors committed by Orlando City's defensive line that resulted in two goals that enable New York to defeat one of the strongest team in the MLS East.
The NYRebulls opened the score first through Caden Clark
who during a break-away by the left-side wing centered the the ball inside the 18' finding Daniel Royer who headed to Patryk Klimala and he immediately crossed a lower shot to Clark who easily netted the ball for the 1-0 New York at 34' minute of the first half.
In the second half, The RedBulls picked-up where the left-off and after numerous counter-attacks the second goal arrived through a direct kick that was perfectly executed by Cristian Casseres-when he shot hard-curve shot over the wall through the leftside goalpost corner and out of the reach of the Orlando City's goalkeeper Pedro Gallese for the 2-0 at 60' minute sealing the victory for New York.
Silvester van der Water discounted for Orlando City at 84' minute to make it 2-1 and tried very hard to find the equalizer through stoppage time but ran out of time.
The New York Redbulls next home game will be against
Nashville SC on June 18, 2021 at RedBulls Arena.
