HARRISON, NJ(SMI-SPORTS, 03.20.22)-The NYRedBulls who started the 2022 MLS season strong with two victories on the road, couldn't hold the lead in stoppage time as New York drew 1-1, with Columbus Crew during a Sunday's afternoon game at the RedBulls Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

With the tie, New York improves to 2-1-1, with 7-points, winless a home and in 4rd place in the MLS East Standings. A lock-out game between the two teams who had several chances to open the score during the game but failed to find the net that resulted in splitting a point a piece with the 1-1, draw.

In the first half, the RedBulls could not capitalize in three offensive attacks
when Amaya at 17' minutes centered a ball inside the 18', Aaron Long headed it down to Tom Edwards who barely missed kicking the ball next to the Crew's goalkeeper Eloy Room.In another counter-attack, midfielder Drew Yearwood kicked a soft and direct shot that was controlled by Room at 29' minutes and Aaron Long shot a 25-yard long shot that went over the crossbar at 40' minute
to end the half scoreless. 

In the second half, Cristian Casseres had a clear opportunity to open the score at 80' minute when he received a center pass inside the box from Lucas Zelarayan and found himself all alone but shot the ball over the crossbar.
Few minutes later, during a corner kick Morgan headed the ball down hitting the Crew's goalkeeper Eloy Room and bouncing off Tom Barlow in the back of the net for 1-0, RedBulls over Crew at 83' minutes.

With the clock winding down and what it seemed a clear victory for New York,
Crew's midfielder Darlington Nagbe scored the equalizer in stoppage time through a counter-attack at 95' minute to end the game in 1-1 draw.
