NEW YORK, NY(SMIWIRE,02.05.19)- American Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright " Tony Kushner ", Broadway press agent, and President of DKC/O&M, Rick Miramontez, and Chairman Emerita of Ingram Industries, Inc., Martha R. Ingram, were honored today (Monday, January 04, 2019) by the Theatre Communications Group, on its 2019 annual gala at the Edison Ballroom in the heart of theater district in Manhattan, New York City.

The Theatre Communications Group (TCG), is the national organization for U.S. theatre, and for the last 65 years has existed to strengthen, nurture, and promote the professional not-for-profit theatre. TCG’s constituency has grown from a handful of groundbreaking theatres to over 700 Member Theatres and affiliate organizations and more than 12,000 individuals nationwide. TCG offers its members networking and knowledge-building opportunities through conferences, events, research, and communications; awards grants, approximately $2 million per year, to theatre companies and individual artists.

Tony Kushner : Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright

Anthony Robert Kushner is an American playwright and screenwrite. He received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1993 for his play Angels in America and then adapted it for HBO in 2003. He co-authored the screenplay for the 2005 film Munich, and he wrote the screenplay for the 2012 film Lincoln .. Both films were critically acclaimed, and he received Acacemy Award nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay. He received a National Medal of Arts from President Barack Obama in 2013.
