NEW YORK, NY (SMI-GLOBAL-ENTERTAINMENT JUNE 04-15, 2024)-Former NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha who played for San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders during his 11-NFL season career, made a sensational directorial film debut with the World Premiere " The Knife " at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. 

Asomugha is not new to the film world since he received a critical acclaim playing Carl King in the Film "Crown Height' in 2017, obtaining a nomination for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting actor. He Also starred and produced
" Sylvie's Love" in 2020, receiving an Emmy nomination for Outstanding TV Movie at the PrimeTime Emmy Awards.

" The Knife " is  Drama-Thriller and Social narrative directed by Nnamdi Asomugha, Co-written and Executive produced by Mark Duplass.
The plot is about a Black family stability turn into shambles when an intruder entered their home while Chris played by (Nmandi Asomugha) and his family are sleeping at upstair bedrooms. Concerned and cautiously investigate and find face to face in the Kitchen with the intruder, and his unpremeditated reaction to protect his family creates an impact and toll over his family stability when the police arrived to investigate and tried to solve the case in a short period of time . The Knife follows and explores the ways a Black family experiences a crime scenario investigation and due process when dealing with authorities, justice, and the American dream.
