NEW YORK, NY(SMI-PHILANTHROPY OCT 19-24, 2023)-US actor & film director Steve Buscemi known for the HBO series "Boardwalk Empire""Sopranos" & "Miracle Workers " attended the 2023 annual Friends of Firefighters benefit gala last Thursday Oct 19, with actor Kevin Smith, comedian Rachel Feinstein, Nancy Carbone(FOF Exec Dir) and active and retired firefighters in attendance  at Pioneer Works, in Brooklyn NYC.

Friends of Firefighters (FOF) is non-profit organization established aftermath of September 11th terrorist attacks, with the purpose to provides free, mental health wellness and financial support for members of FDNY, both active and retired along with their families.

Actor Steve Buscemi, who was former FDNY for several years in the 1980s at Engine 55 and volunteered at Ground Zero in the aftermath of 9/11, attended the benefit gala alongside Impractical Joker Brian Quinn who served in FDNY for eight years, comedian Rachel Feinstein who is married to a NYC firefighter as well others notable guests who came together to support the mental health fundraising of New York’s Bravest.
